HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Seven homeschoolers in Arkansas who were seized by the Garland County Sheriff’s Department this month remain in state custody after a court hearing on Thursday over the matter.

Hal Stanley, a pastor, and his wife Michelle state that they are in shock after their children were removed from their Hot Springs home on Jan. 12 following an anonymous complaint. To read the full article:

The Tutt Family

Their children were removed unjustly from their home in Dallas Texas a year ago. Now their family home has recently sustained significant fire damage:

Here is a timeline of the family’s past year:

  • November 21, 2013 – Seven Tutt children are illegally removed from their home by CPS.
  • December 21, 2013 – In a 12-hour hearing, the judge allowed attacks on the family’s Christian faith, community service, and home schooling.  The judge refused to dismiss the case and return the children.
  • January 7, 2014 – The removal of the children is ruled unjustified, and four of seven children are returned to the family but are required to continue public schooling and to have regular visits with CPS.
  • January 27, 2014 – THSC asks the commissioner of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services to conduct an investigation of the CPS caseworker who testified she had not asked for the removal of the children, but later changed her report to say they were in danger.
  • January 29, 2014 – THSC holds a press conference to publicize these abuses of power and to demand an investigation.
  • February 10, 2014 – CPS tries to prevent Mrs. Tutt from accompanying her young children on a sibling visit with one of the Tutt children still in CPS custody. There is no court order to that effect.
  • March 2014 – CPS assigns a new caseworker to the Tutts’ case.
  • August 28, 2014 – Judge Callahan rules two of the four children at home be released from CPS oversight and be allowed to return to home schooling. Their attorney believes this ruling was intended to apply to all four children, but has not yet received a written order to clarify.
  • September 16, 2014 – The 5th Court of Appeals denies relief to the Tutt family, ruling that the family has no official record to prove their accusations against the court. The lower court had refused to provide the Tutts’ attorney with the court records to which she is entitled.

I wanted to take a nap today but how can I when fellow Christians are suffering for doing good? If you haven’t read already, Nang and Chris Mai who operate Urloved Photography in San Francisco have chosen to suffer by closing their business rather than to photograph at a same-sex ceremony. May you send them a word of encouragement through their contact form on their website or send them a card to the address of their closed business. I’m sure they will have mail forwarded to their home or a PO Box nearby:

I’m sure they would appreciate some money as they get settled in the next several months or longer in whatever the Lord has them do next. Don’t assume their church will help them. Most of my friends who have been in dire financial need due to circumstances that were not of a sinful nature, have not had so much as a phone call from church members.   : (  We as the body of Christ are the hands and feet that need to help our brothers and sisters who are persecuted.

The Lockwood family had to leave Mexico and their church that they established after ministering to the people there for 10 years due to personal sin. You can’t help but love this woman Jaynee when you look at her pictures and see the love that she has for these people.   : (

A personal friend of mine. She lost her son Tommy on July 31, 2014 to an accidental drowning after saving his life from an orphanage.  on July 31, 2014:

We have some new friends, Dan and Rebecca Small. He was diagnosed last year with a fatal diagnoses and had only 3 months left to live. He is still alive… I’ll share more when I get in touch with them to get a personal website and the name of what he was diagnosed with. He and his wife established “The Refuge”, a pastor’s conference center. They asked permission to distribute “Harlotry in the Church” in the foyer there. They have 4 daughters and are good people we met through our friends, Bob and Brenda Renning.

 Missy on right

My dear friend Missy because I love her and she still tries to make the most of each day after losing both of her children:

  1. My heart aches. We are praying. We had an adult child report us in attempts to stop us from an adoption. The adoption fell through but it was not from the false allegations. it was God’s Will, the baby was healthy- the agency gave it to another family because we were adopting through the special needs child program. It was horrible, painful and frightening. And we work with the County with our Group Home. It is on file for 2 years now. I voluntarily took the kids to be checked by our Dr. They no longer find the charges “unfounded”. They found we were in need of no services. And we too admitted that we aren’t perfect parents, but we are NOT abusive in any way.
    ((((HUGS)))))) Thank You for sharing!

    • Edited for personal reasons:
I am so sorry to hear that you went through such an ordeal. I know the fear and horrible feelings that accompany such a thing. I too went through something in 2003 with my older daughters regarding a custody battle.

Anyways, I am so sorry you went through what you did. I am so glad things turned out well for you. I know you have a personal place for people in situations as these people are today. This is one reason we want to move so that we can be freed up financially and go and support people like this at court as they wanted people to. It’s hard to wait and miss out on being able to just be physically present for these people going through such horrible things. The poor children too. : (
I found a couple of sites just last night that might interest you: and

While they have many cases on their sites that are similar, I’m sure there are always a few here and there that are cases of child abuse. It’s funny, I used to read about a case of child abuse and find them guilty immediately. Now when I hear something, I am skeptical of how the information is being presented, etc… And I have a degree in Law Enforcement. I trusted in our system highly! My eyes have been opened now though and I see where I didn’t see before. : )
