Susanna

I haven’t felt up to blogging at all since Susanna lost her son Tommy. She’s been on my mind so much that I even had a dream about her. Not a day has gone by that I don’t think about her and what she is going through. People’s lives are going to go on but she will always have her life defined by what her life was like before and what it is now after. My life has a place in it of “before” and “after”. Many of us do.

I’ll just do a written update while I am up and awake still and catch up on pictures as time allows. We had a wind storm about a month or so ago and it was so strong that it blew the roof off of our hot tub room that we use as a hot house. Matthew has been up on the roof in 100+ degree weather putting on new panels. He just finished last week and is not trying to finally finish the tree he cut down some time ago. Remember the willow tree? His chipper finally went kaput and we had to buy a new one. So, money for that and money for the panels – there’s $900.00.  : (  Just the other day my car quit running. We believe it is the fuel pump which is a whopping $600.00 that we don’t have. So, I am driving the truck.

Since making the mistake of buying this home, we’ve had an air conditioner go out and pipes freeze (it never happened to the original owner). The Lord is allowing the wine press to press. He is disciplining us and for our own good. We will never do something so foolish again. But, we know by His mercy that one day a buyer will come and we will be able to go and buy a home in cash. He is merciful – Thou He slay me, yet I will trust Him. I love that verse…

So, that’s been our Summer. One thing is just about fixed and another thing goes wrong.  : ) I’ll share the brighter side of things in the next posts, maybe sometime this week. I hope you all have had a good Summer. Take care…
